Action Nepal with support of USAID funded SajhedariBikaas Project aims to place communities at the center of reconstruction efforts to ensure local ownership and sustainability, while supporting local planning process, reconstruction of damaged or destroyed small-scale infrastructures and improved local service delivery in 18 VDCs of Dhading district.
Action Nepal is seeking a dynamic, energetic, professional, qualified and result oriented individuals for the given post.
Program Coordinator (PC): 1 Position
Key responsibilities:
- Work closely with SB Field Coordinator and Program Manager to ensure smooth implementation of activities
- Prepare annual plan, implementation plan and monitoring plan of the organization with support of the concerned staff and organization to ensure activities are in line with achieving expected outputs.
- Ensure effective implementation and monitoring of activities on a regular basis.
- Ensure meaningful participation of women and marginalized communities in all project activities.
- Prepare and submit progress reports of program activities, including training activities, to the organization and SB, in a timely manner.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in development studies, social science or other relevant field
- A minimum of three years of experience in development projects, with experience with community development, inclusion and planning process strongly preferred.
- Able and willing to work flexible hours as needed and without constant or close supervision
- Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills
- Excellent computer literacy in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are required. Typing skills in both English and Nepali preferred
- English fluency, both written and verbal, is a requirement.
Finance Officer (FO): 1 position
Key responsibilities:
Financial Management and Accounting
- Verify documents, prepare vouchers and maintain ledger.
- Prepare monthly financial report as per the format provided by SajhedariBikaas (SB).
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliation.
- Prepare monthly fund request in coordination with the program coordinator and management team and submit to SB.
Administrative Task
- Maintain staff personnel file, update leave record, logbook of telephone/vehicles, repair and maintenance records and other logistic documentation.
- Check attendance book, work plan, timesheets, leave application and maintain emergency contact.
- Safeguard all essential project documents and maintain confidentiality.
- Any other duties assigned by Executive Director.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in management, commerce, or business administration
- A minimum of two years of experience in accounting, finance sector of NGO
- Able and willing to work flexible hours as needed and without constant or close supervision
- Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills
- Excellent computer literacy in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are required.
- Typing skills in both English and Nepali preferred
